It was such an adventure shooting this stylish family's photos the other night at the Dublin Historic Park. I've known the Hamby family since their oldest was a toddler and it has been so fun getting to spend so much more time with them lately now that we live close by. All four of the boys were good sports about getting their pictures taken, even the two little guys, which made for a pretty much perfect evening of taking photos. But what I really love is how you can tell from their faces how much they love each other and just what a close, happy, fun family they are.

Nick & Jennifer Engagement Photos
These two former high school sweethearts and are getting married at the end of March and asked me if I would take engagement photos for them at San Jose Historic Park. Jennifer's parents live just a few doors down from us and she has babysat for us before and is great with Clara. Plus, she and Nick are gorgeous so I jumped at the chance. They have great style and wanted to do a vintage style engagement session, which was so awesome. I love when clients have creative ideas and we can just run with it. I just love how these turned out and these are only some of my favorites.

Nash Family Session
I did a photo shoot for my own little family while we were in Yosemite this November. I just used a tripod and self-timer and kept running back and forth and posing my husband and daughter. It was a little work but we were happy to get a good one for our Christmas cards.

Miller Family
This gorgeous family just added baby girl Hadley 5 weeks ago. They are good friends from when we first moved to California. It was a sad day when they moved away to take over the family beekeeping business and become full-time honey farmers so I was excited when they said they were coming to the area to visit and asked if I could take photos for them while they were here. Love these guys.

Headley Family
This family was cracking me up. The oldest son and the dad were serious "blinkers" and I gave up keeping a tally when they both hit 25 photos each where their eyes were closed. Fortunately, I tend to overshoot with families to avoid those kinds of problems. I love how these turned out.

Oler Family
This family was so much fun to photograph. They were great to work with and the kids were so much fun. They were all willing to try some more creative and fun posing too, including less traditional poses, which was awesome. I love Joyce, who has been my friend and visiting teacher for at least a couple of years now so I was so happy when she asked me to do photos for her family at Montalvo. This bridge is my favorite new location - it has so much character!
